Becki Newton
Becki Newton was born in New Haven in Connecticut, was brought up within Guilford in Connecticut. She's English and Czech descent. She began putting on shows and musicals at local theaters. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with the degree of a B.A. European History. Newton became a member of as a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at Penn. Newton made the move to New York City after graduation and started working on TV commercials. Some of them were for Olive Garden. Newton took on the role Amanda Tanen on the comedy-drama Ugly Betty series from 2006 through 2010. Newton hosted the Official Ugly Betty podcast together with the co-star Michael Urie. Newton also appeared on ABC.com's Mode After Hours webisode series. Ugly Betty ended in 2010, after several seasons of success which allowed it to be the option of ending it with a. In late 2009, Newton was featured in the New York City Center Encores! show of the Gershwin musical Girl Crazy, which was produced by Jerry Zaks. Her husband Chris Diamantopoulos performed with her as Molly Gray. Newton starred in the television show Love Bites. Cindy Chupack was the executive producer of this romantic comedy. Cindy Chupack worked with Sex and the City. NBC originally announced its plans to pick up Love Bites in May 2010. After Newton disclosed her pregnancy as well as co-star Jordana Spiro was legally bound by her program My Boys to continue this show was brought forward to mid-season.
